I've had Four Days Off of Work

And this is the fifth. I've had a great time, especially since Mr. Lolly also had Monday through Wednesday off. Here are some of the fun things I've done with my free time:

Worked out, which I know this is not fun to some people, but I actually look forward to it. I swear, going to the gym three times a week keeps my depressive tendencies in check.

Made an exquisitely cheesy lasagna with Mr. Lolly. Had two generous pieces for lunch today.
Also made a yummy minestrone soup yesterday, because although Mr. Lolly will eat lasagna until his heart stops, I do not like to overdo it.

Watched two movies:
To Be and to Have http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002MFFG0/102-0696995-2099319?v=glance&n=130&n=507846&s=dvd&v=glance a touching documentary about a teacher and his students in a one room school in rural France. It was a sweet movie, but very quiet and slow, and I don't know that anyone without a teaching background (like myself) would be all that interested.

Me and You and Everyone We Know, the Miranda July movie.http://www.meandyoumovie.com/ (For those of you who don't know of her, she's a performance artist.) Offbeat and quirky, the kind of movie my sister Monique would love.

Embarked with Mr. Lolly on an unsuccessful quest to find and purchase some corduroys to replace the ones he wore out. While on the Target leg of this trip, I bought myself a crazy brown plaid Elmer Fudd hat. I tried to find a picture of said hat, but it is not on Target's website. However, anyone who remembers Uncle Ed from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation knows what I am talking about. "Shitter's full!"

Tonight I am babysitting for three of the cutest kids ever, but I don't have to be there until ^6:45. For now, I am going to watch Word Wars http://www.wordwarsmovie.com/ and fantasize about competing in the World Scrabble Championships.
