My Christmas Vacation.....

is just about at an end. I return to school tomorrow.

But I had a fabulously relaxing vacation!

First of all, I had a wonderful Christmas. Santa brought me the fuschia Tecnica Moonboots (the original ones, mo' fo's!) that I have been lusting after. Of course, now I am waiting for a serious snowfall so I can wear them. New Year's sucked, but that was because Mr. Lolly was in NYC visiting the fam and I was stuck here. I went to a lousy party and ended up leaving at 11:40. However, I never expect much from New Year's Eve and thus am rarely disappointed.

I stepped up my workout routine. I've also done a lot of relaxing. I saw a few movies, Good Night and Good Luck, The Squid and the Whale (which I loved.) I am once again making a few tentative stabs at knitting. In fact, my resolution this year is to become a proficient knitter and make some knitting friends. I intend to do this by knitting at school between classes. In doing so, I hope that other friendly knitters will approach me and invite me to join their stitch and bitch. Towards the end of last semester I noticed a flyer for a "radical ladies sewing circle and stitch n bitch" in the library at school. I never have the confidence to show up for anything like that on my own, but I really wish I had made a note of the day and time.

Sigh. Its sad when your'e thity years old and don't know how to make new friends, but that's a whole other issue.
